Could you tell me a little about yourself?
My name is Ümit, I was born in Istanbul in 1991, and I have been designing games for 4 years. I design and create the game mechanics, graphics, material selection, and printing myself.
Why is the game called Last Flag?
Because the player who captures the last flag on the map wins the game, but first, they must collect their own flags and bring them to their capital.
How realistic is your game?
It’s a game that runs parallel to World War II, with a mix of realism and fantasy, similar to Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.
How many versions of your game will there be?
Our game will have two versions in terms of materials, and our backers will have access to our games with very advantageous offers.
What makes your games different from other board strategy games?
The game emphasizes both strategy and luck, but I have worked to minimize luck as much as possible. There is a dice selection based on your current situation in the game. The most important feature is that even the weakest player can win the game.
What kind of rewards do you have for Kickstarter backers?
We will have rewards based on the amount of donation made by our backers. Some of the country boxes you see here are among these rewards.
Not every country had equal power during World War II. How did you address this handicap in the game?
Players choose country cards with a 15-point limit, which prevents them from getting maximum efficiency from every type of equipment. This ensures that the game is played more fairly in this way.
If you receive a sufficient amount of donations, what will you do in the next phase?
I will continue to promote the game and reach out to people, and in 2026, I will release a game that has never been made before. You can be sure of that.
